Signing Up and Being Approved as a Good Company

The Type of Company That Should Apply to GRG
When a company applies to become a Good Company on the GoodRaffleGood platform, it is presumed that the applying company or party is attempting to do so primarily for the benefit of social development, and after that, for the benefit of its business, produced through awareness generated by GoodRaffleGood.

Approving a Business to Become a Good Company
Upon application, a business is not immediately accepted as a Good Company. The applying business must be vetted by GRG before being approved to be a Good Company. GRG’s primary function is to aid and contribute positively to social development, and so all parties involved with GRG, including all Good Companies, must conduct themselves, with regard to GRG, in a manner befitting this primary function. If GRG deems, in any way, that the applying business does not conform to these standards, we reserve the right to refuse the applying business the chance to become a Good Company. If the applying business is approved, they will be notified and after that, free to pledge.

Acting Accordingly as a Good Company
After being approved as a Good Company by GoodRaffleGood, the organisation linked to the approved account must always endeavour to act in the best interests of social development. If at any point, for any reason, GRG concludes that an organisation is not acting in accordance with this ideal, we reserve the right to remove the user’s account details linked with the concerned Good Company. GRG is under no obligation to inform an organisation of such actions if those actions are deemed necessary.

Pledging
The chief role a Good Company takes on within the GoodRaffleGood platform is to offer Pledges. These Pledges are products or services the Good Company pledges, so that it may be turned into a Good Raffle, for the benefit of social development. The Good Company may choose to select a Good Cause to be the sole beneficiary or leave it open.

Upon uploading a Pledge, GoodRaffleGood must still approve the pledge before it is turned into a Good Raffle. GRG reserves the right to not turn a pledge into a Good Raffle for whatever reason it deems necessary.

Quality of Pledges
The subjective nature of assessing the quality of a Pledge means no objective or minimum quantifier can be placed on the concerned pledge to determine whether it is worth becoming a Good Raffle or not. As per the previous section GRG reserves the right to not turn a Pledge into a Good Raffle. Furthermore, if the quality of the Pledge is notably low from the perspective of GRG, we may inform the Good Company. Continued Pledges of a low quality, as deemed by GRG, will result in the Good Company’s account being removed from the GRG platform.

Collecting and the Holding of Prizes
Upon pledging, the Good Company commits to keeping the pledged product or service aside for whoever wins the Good Raffle. It is not upon the Good Company to make sure that the prize reaches the winner, but rather the onus is on the Good Player to collect or ship the prize themselves. It is expected that the Good Company will be ready for the collection by having ready the winning Ticket to verify that the party collecting the prize is the winner of that prize as determined by GRG’s systems and data. If the winner does not collect the prize within 2 months (60 days) of the raffle being drawn and the winner chosen, the Good Company can choose to withdraw the product or service and reserve it for another Good Raffle.

Signing Up And Being Approved as a Good Cause

Prerequisites of Becoming and Being Approved as a Good Cause
An organisation applying to become a Good Cause on the GoodRaffleGood platform must be one whose chief mandate is social development. In accordance with this the applying organisation must be registered with the South African Department of Social Development as reflected in the listing at this URL: http://www.npo.gov.za/PublicNpo/Npo, and must be able to produce and supply a Section 18A receipt as per the regulations set out by SARS. If the organisation is not registered and is therefore not able to supply the required Section 18A receipt, GRG reserves the right to refuse admission immediately.

When a registered social-development organisation applies to become a Good Cause on the GoodRaffleGood platform, it is presumed that the applying organisation is attempting to do so primarily for the benefit of social development and to raise funds for their efforts at doing so, and after that, for the benefit of increased awareness generated by GoodRaffleGood.

Approving an Organisation to Become a Good Cause
Upon application, a registered social-development organisation is not immediately accepted as a Good Cause. The applying organisation must be vetted by GRG before being approved to be a Good Cause. GRG’s primary function is to aid and contribute positively to social development, and so all parties involved with GRG, including all Good Causes, must conduct themselves, with regard to GRG, in a manner befitting this primary function. If GRG deems, in any way, that the applying organisation does not conform to these standards, we reserve the right to refuse the applying organisation the chance to become a Good Cause. If the applying organisation is approved, they will be notified and after that, be free to log in.

Acting Accordingly as a Good Cause
After being approved as a Good Cause by GoodRaffleGood, the organisation linked to the approved account must always endeavour to act in the best interests of social development. If at any point, for any reason, GRG concludes that an organisation is not acting in accordance with this ideal, we reserve the right to remove the user’s account details linked with the concerned Good Cause. GRG is under no obligation to inform an organisation of such actions if those actions are deemed necessary.

Good Raffles & Good Causes
When applying to become a Good Cause, the applying organisation is required to select and name a representative for their organisation. That selected representative, in their capacity as a member of the applying organisation, and by way of these Terms and Conditions, is bound to any Good Raffle where the applying organisation linked to the representative is rendered a beneficiary by way of a dedicated Good Raffle (sole beneficiary) or open Good Raffle (multiple beneficiaries), and in so doing agrees to act as a representative for the Good Raffle in question.

Payouts
GRG will pay all Good Causes their raised funds upon the completion of the Good Raffle in question. This period of payout may take up to two weeks and is predicated upon all Goodrafflegood’s financial systems functioning properly and without error. Upon receiving the payment the Good Cause must provide a Section 18A receipt to Goodrafflegood (NPO: 239-787). If the Good Cause is not able to, or refuses to provide this Section 18A receipt, we reserve the right to immediately remove the Good Cause in question and will require the former Good Cause to pay back the money. If the money is not paid back GoodRaffleGood will pursue legal action against the transgressing party.

Lobbying and Marketing
It is not the part of GRG to market one Good Cause over another. We will always endeavour to market all parties on the GoodRaffleGood platform as much as we possibly can. Although we cannot show any bias or favouritism towards any specific Good Cause, the GoodRaffleGood platform is designed so that the Good Cause that participates by adding stories, targets, and who lobbies to Good Companies to pledge for them is rewarded through awareness based on our algorithms.

Targets
Good Causes are encouraged to create Targets. These are specific projects Good Causes are seeking to raise funds for. The Good Cause can only have one target running at any given time and upon setting a target, the Good Cause cannot alter or change it without especially requesting to do so by contacting GRG.

Signing Up as an Individual or Good Player

The Type of Individual That Should Apply to GRG as a Good Player
When an individual applies to become a Good Player on the GoodRaffleGood platform, it is presumed that the applying individual is attempting to do so with the mind to benefit social development, and alongside that, to win prizes.

Acting Accordingly as a Good Player
If at any point, for any reason, GRG concludes that an individual, or Good Player, is not acting in accordance with the spirit of social development and therein implied, reasonable and fair behaviour, we reserve the right to remove the user’s account details linked with the concerned Good Player. GRG is under no obligation to inform an individual of such actions if those actions are deemed necessary.

Winning

If a Good Player wins a Good Raffle, they are notified, along with GRG and the Good Company responsible for the product or service being raffled. It is the responsibility of the winning Good Player to collect the prize from the Good Company. If the winning Good Player is unable to produce the winning Ticket, the Good Company cannot hand over the prize. If the winning Good Player does not collect the prize within 2 months of the winner being chosen, the Good Company is allowed to withdraw the prize and reserve it for another pledge at another time.

Not Winning
In the event of a Good Raffle being completed and a Good Player being chosen as the winner, it is not the responsibility of GRG to inform all the Good Players who did not win, that they did not win. GRG has provided a function where the Good Player logs in and is notified, via the control box, of whether or not any raffles that they had entered have been completed in the last week. The Good Player can also visit the “Completed Raffles” section to see if any raffle they entered has been completed.

Technical Anomalies
Anomalies arise in technology all the time, and although GRG has done everything it can to prevent these from happening, there is always the possibility of them occurring. The most problematic of which, is more than one winner being chosen. If this does occur, GRG will run those two, or however many chosen winners through another random selection to see which one is the winner.

Liability with Regards to the Products and/or Services Being Pledged
GRG does not, in any way, carry any liability for any failing on the part of a Good Player, Good Cause, or Good Company. If any kind of failing is perceived by either of the three parties towards each other or any other party, GRG will address it immediately. If GRG finds legitimate fault with the party, or parties in question, the user/s in question will be given a chance to plead their case, however, if no resolution is found GRG reserves the right to remove any user at any time for any reason. That being said, it is not in ours, or anyone’s best interest for GRG to delete users, and we will do everything we can to find a resolution before resorting to such measures.
