Wherever we can we should make it easier to help others. Not harder.
Non-Profits
The non-profit sector is a vital component of society. Unfortunately it’s pitted against an economic backdrop that leaves little room to thrive. A tragic irony exists in that the more a country needs social practices, the less able they are to effectively cater for them. Because the state is always economically “hanging-on”, inadequate financial priority is given to social causes. This is not to say individuals and groups aren’t out there making concerted efforts, but they will be the first to tell you it’s not easy and help is needed.
GoodRaffleGood is designed to offer at least some of that help and stand as an example of how it’s possible for businesses to contribute socially without sacrificing their bottom lines and resources, but instead only adding to their offering.
Using What We’ve Got
A large obstacle to effective social development is the perceived effort required in order to achieve it, often falling under the idea of charity, or to ’give without receiving’. Most businesses battle managing their bottom lines without worrying about how they’re going to allocate resources to social change.
An attractive scenario is one where every business is able to, with little effort, markedly affect social development through the very services and products they offer.
GRG contributes to this vision by offering a space where those products and services accentuate their associated business’s marketing while contributing to organisations tasked specifically with uplifting society.
Positive Visibility
For every batch of tickets generated the Good Player must always feel their contribution is authentic, because that contribution is real. And the only way they will know it is real, is if they see it. We moan and stomp and strike because we cannot see what is not there. It is not real enough for us. GRG is designed to make it real by making the change observable. Good Causes are encouraged to share their stories and the good they’re doing by posting them on this website.
