Players join to win goodies and contribute to positive social change.
Play for Good
GRG is built to affect good and the Good Player is at the centre of it. For every Good Raffle ticket that’s generated by a player, a worthy social cause receives funds. At the same time the Good Player stands the chance to win the raffle used to raise those funds. And if they don’t win they’ve still directly raised funds for good.
Same Same But Different
We know the idea to use raffles for fund-raising is not new or revolutionary. So what’s the difference? Our difference is visual. Upon generating your Good Raffle tickets you will be informed which Good Cause benefits. By simply clicking on the cause in question you can observe their latest accounts on what they’re achieving.
We want the Good Player to feel like they’ve made a difference when generating tickets, because they have. And the only way to ensure that feeling is by properly showing them the difference being created. We believe in accountability and transparency.
Capped Raffles
Placing a limit on the amount of tickets available is informed by what we mean by a raffle. Classically raffles come from social events or fetes, and part of its appeal is that the chances of winning are according to the amount of people entering, and that number is always roughly what you see at the event - Not usually more than a few thousand.
Incorporating those principles into GRG means players stand better and varying chances of winning. The greater the value of the raffle, the less tickets will be available, and the greater each ticket’s chance of winning becomes. Ultimately this means more winners, which means more good!
Getting Involved
Everyone involved with GRG can maximise their contribution to social upliftment by going a bit further than their basic GRG user function. In the Good Player’s case each person can act as an ambassador for a cause. If a Good Player has a social-development organisation close to their heart, that is, a non-profit or public organisation, they can encourage them to join GRG and raise more funds for their cause. Even more than this the Good Player can lobby for the cause and spread the word by sharing Good Raffles with others.
